A look at the GreenWorks Snow Blower Range.
GreenWorks is not just any name for this business, it wasn’t plucked from thin air, and it is making a big statement: Being Green, Works. This incredible company boast that all their snow blowers don’t give off one whiff of a carbon emission. Even they say that’s worth repeating – All GreenWorks snowblowers have no carbon footprint what so ever and the same goes for their entire range of products. The GreenWorks 26032
This snow blower comes with a 12 Amp electric Motor. It can clear snow up to 20 inches wide and 8 inches deep and it is capable of throwing snow 30 feet away with its 1800 RPM blades. Being electric means it starts first time and of course there is much less need for maintenance than with their gas alternatives and won’t require regular servicing and oiling like they do. It also has a special cord lock so that you never get the cord tangled up or worse still, run over.
Out of the GreenWorks snow throwers this is the most expensive and naturally the most powerful and popular version. It’s still very affordable however compared to other makes, so you can be saving money and looking after the environment at the same time.

The GreenWorks 26022 electric snow thrower
This has a 9 Amp electric motor. This slightly smaller snow blower throws snow as far as 25 feet away and clears a path 16 inches wide and 6 inches deep. It has adjustable handle heights and at just 26 pounds it’s considerably lighter than the 26032 which weighs in at 36 pounds (though this is still light by these machines standards). Like the other GreenWorks models it sports the cord lock and comes with the standard 4 year GreenWorks warranty. It’s also over a $100 cheaper than the 26032 so if you have a slightly lower budget without a corresponding reduction in the power and effectiveness of your snow blower, this may well be the best option for you and remember, you’ll be doing your bit for the environment this winter.

The GreenWorks 62012 snowblower
This is the least powerful in the GreenWorks range but for those smaller jobs it is remarkably effective and just shy of $80 it is one of the best value snow throwing machines I’ve come across. With its 7Amp motor it cuts an impressive 12 inches wide by 4 inches deep and can throw the snow 20 feet away from you. This is excellent for areas with less snow fall and because it is a very light 14 pounds it is extremely easy to move about and could even be used in heavier snow conditions, you just may have to do four inch layers at a time.

All in all I really like the GreenWorks range of snow blowers, especially with the added advantage that it’s environmentally clean. It wasn’t that long ago that the only way to clear the snow was with a shovel, as you can imagine, with the huge increase in popularity of snow throwing machines over recent years, this must in some way be contributing to our pollution levels. That’s why I admire GreenWorks for really setting a good industry standard that I hope all the other manufacturers adopt as well.
