Ariens 921022 Snowblower Deluxe ST28LE
The Ariens 921022 Snowblower Deluxe and Complete range.
Well if you’re lucky like me, we’ve yet to have any snow fall this year but I can tell, looking at areas close by, it’s not going to be long before I have to get my coveted Ariens snowblower out to play. I’ve used several types of yard clearing snow throwers, including Toro, Husqvarna and Greenworks but to date, the best I’ve had is my Ariens 921022 (It’s actually the Ariens 921022 Deluxe Sno-Thro Snow Blower 28 – ST28LE 250cc).
Ariens and Toro have been in heavy competition for some time now where snow blowers are concerned and they have a large range of different types of machines for different terrains and levels of snow fall. It’s important you pick the right type of snowblower to suit you and your needs; you’ll be wasting a lot of time if you don’t. Now I’ve gone into detail about this in a previous post and you can see that here, so for now I’m going to focus on my machine and why I think this is currently the best one on the market and then I’ll provide an opportunity to look at the complete range so you can make an educated decision which one is best for you.
Now as I explained I currently own the Ariens 921022 Deluxe. There are four versions of the deluxe model, the ST22, 24, 28 and the Ariens Deluxe 30. This figure is mainly to distinguish the width of the path it cuts and engine size but there are subtle differences between each model ranging from basic (ST22) to the luxury of the ST30 which even has heated hand warmers.
The Ariens Deluxe ST28, like the 24 has the powerful Briggs and Stratton 250cc engine, unlike the 22 which is less powerful at 208cc or the ST30 which is the most powerful at 305cc. This and a few luxuries are all that really separates the four models. They all come with the unique Polar Trac Tyres which have phenomenal grip in all snow conditions, a 14 inch serrated steel Auger, they all throw the cleared snow up to 50 feet in any direction and they all come with a halogen lamp so you can clear snow in darker weather conditions. In fact, the only real differences apart from engine size and the width of the path cut is that the Deluxe ST28 also has a handle mounted axle lock and the ST30 has this and the rather fancy heated hand warmers. In fact with the ST30, with the addition of a snow blower cab, I can’t really see how you can get cold! The one thing that is exeptionally good and saves a huge amount of effort is the auto turn feature (see the video at the end to see it in action) it really is an excellent idea by Ariens.
Another great advantage of buying an Ariens snowblower is the customer service. They really listen to their customers and this is one reason they have so many different varieties of snow thrower and so many additional luxuries that customers have recommended to them. Ariens also have an extensive spare parts section and it’s very easy to have them delivered direct to your door.
Currently, the best deals I could find for these and this way they can be delivered direct to your door, is with Amazon….
